Louisiana Small Business Development Centers (LSBDC)
LSBDC is a partnership among Louisiana Economic Development, the U.S. Small Business Administration and participating host universities. The network consists of nine centers across the state that help entrepreneurs and existing businesses start, develop and grow through counseling, business education classes, information resources and specialized services.
Over the past six years, LSBDC has counseled 20,520 entrepreneurs. With LSBDC assistance, clients have created 6,778 new jobs and obtained $359 million in financing. From 2000-2005, the state's network helped small businesses save 3,188 jobs and generate more than $7.2 million in state tax revenue.
