- This site also has a vendor information center. If a vendor is interested in registering with DOTD Procurement Department to receive bids, they can go to the downloads section and print an application.
- In order to be placed on the mailing list to receive bid notices from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, print the Mailing List Application form from this website and mail it in.
- DOTD will continue to solicit bids for materials, equipment and supplies until 6-30-08. They do not know in advance what the needs will be.

- To do business with DOTD/DBE (Disadvantage Business Enterprise) Compliance Program, go to the website at:

- Register to become a Certified Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE).
- The department has plans to let more than 240 projects in the next six months.
- In Orleans Parish alone, 32 projects with a value of at least $175,000,000.00 are tentatively scheduled to be let between now and June 2008.

- Facility Planning advertises through The Advocate and the Local Parish newspaper for a project.

- View and download solicitations at LaPAC. Vendors can go directly to LaPAC logo.
- From this menu, they should go to "Vendor Link LA", and they will be taken through the self-enrollment process.
- Upcoming bid opportunities are posted on LaPAC. They are posted by Category, Department, Bid Number, etc.
- State Purchasing has a Vendor Guide that is posted on their website and this might be helpful to you. Paid enrollment will be discontinued July 1 and all vendors will be required to register through LaPAC.

- Most exempt agencies, such as universities, technical colleges, Dept. of Education, DOTD (for road, highway, bridge construction and materials) have their own vendor databases.
- It is suggested that you contact the purchasing departments at each exempt agency. This is the website for purchasing contacts for all state agencies.

- State Agencies have a Delegated Purchasing Authority (DPA) which is up to $25,000 and may not use State Purchasing for purchases within that amount, therefore increasing the importance of contacting each State Agency.
